Today’s Devotional
“For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” – Mark 10:45
We live in a generation that constantly asks, “What am I getting out of this?”—whether it’s friendships, church, worship, or work. Too often, life is measured by what benefits us rather than how we can serve others.
But Jesus gave us the perfect example. He did not come to be served, but to serve. He gave His life on the Cross—not for recognition, not for a title, not for what He could gain—but out of pure love and obedience to the Father.
Today, pause and ask yourself: What are my true motives?
- In my friendships?
- In my church service?
- In my job?
God calls us to work as unto the Lord and to love as Christ loved us. That’s a tall order—but it begins by receiving the Father’s love. When we stay connected to the Source of Love, His love flows through us and empowers us to serve with a pure heart.
Let’s make it less about us—and more about serving the Lord out of love. ❤️
