How Are We Seeking?
How Are We Seeking?
So many times, we want the gifts of Christ—but we want them without truly seeking Him. We want to live by the world’s way and still enjoy the benefits of Christ in our lives. But it doesn’t work that way.
Yes, the Lord desires to bless us with a full and good life, but fullness only comes when we seek Him with our whole heart. The Bible reminds us:
“You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.” – Jeremiah 29:13 (ESV)
To seek Him means to give Him first place in our lives—not just on Sundays, not just in moments of need, but daily. It looks different for each of us, but it always begins with three simple steps:
-
Read His Word. This is how we know who He is and how much He loves us.
-
Pray. Prayer is not complicated—it’s like talking with your best friend, but with reverence for the One who created you.
-
Seek Him First. Make Him the priority above everything else.
When we do these things, we will find Him. And in Him is fullness of joy, peace, and true fulfillment that the world can never offer.
Friend, my prayer for you today is that you’ll take a moment to ask yourself: How am I seeking Him? Because the way we seek determines what we find.
With love from the road,
Bobbie
